Hammerson announced today that the luxury lifestyle brand The White Company will be opening its first site in Southampton at its flagship destination in the city, Westquay. The new 6,500sq ft unit is expected to open in time for Christmas.
The White Company has been producing impeccably stylish, beautifully designed products for nearly 25 years. In that time it has become famous for its focus on quality over quantity, and its unrivalled attention to detail, whether that’s the hand-stitching on its luxurious high thread-count pillowcases or its customer service. The new store will showcase all the high quality collections that the brand’s customers know and love.
Iain Mitchell, UK commercial director at Hammerson, said: “Across our portfolio, we’re actively rotating our retailer mix, with a focus on aspirational, growing brands that offer a really engaging in-store experience. The White Company is a prime example of that strategy in action. Today’s announcement also highlights the benefits of pop-up stores, as The White Company trialled their offer on a short-term basis before taking a permanent space. The store will bring something new to Westquay, and will really complement other brands we have at the destination, such as Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, and Laing the Jewellers.”

Westquay has already welcomed a number of new brands in 2019, including Tommy Hilfiger, Typo, and the escape room concept Locked in a Room.
