Fashion brand Lyle & Scott has launched its first social media commerce store on Facebook. The new application, developed by e-commerce specialists BT Fresca, means customers can now make purchases with the Scottish fashion brand on the social networking site.
According to the company, the store is designed to suit the social media site and to make it slick and easy-to-use by customers. Even before opening the new store, the company’s Facebook site has already proved a huge hit attracting more than 38,000 fans, it said.
The launch follows Lyle & Scott’s recent re-launch of its website (www.lyleandscott.com), which is optimised for mobile use. Designed and developed by BT Fresca, the site is now serving more than 53 countries. The pared-back design is suitable for all types of smartphones, with simple and uncluttered pages for quick and easy navigation on mobile browsers, said the company.

BT Fresca is also providing Lyle & Scott with online marketing services, including traffic analysis and e-mail campaigns.
