The UK’s largest specialist wine retailer, Majestic Wine, has appointed performance marketing agency, Journey Further to provide strategic performance marketing support to help drive revenue both online and offline.
Majestic sells over 1,200 wines, beers and spirits across the UK, through a network of over 190 stores plus two in France. Although their doors have been closed to walk-in customers throughout lockdown, they have continued to serve customers nationwide through a fleet of over 200 vans, a strong online presence and through the remote advice of over 1,000 wine experts.
Alcohol sales in supermarkets and corner shops increased by 22% in March as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown. Initially Journey Further will be providing support to Majestic’s eCommerce site. However, the Leeds, London and Manchester agency’s remit will also include driving footfall and sales across their network of nationwide stores, which are currently only open for home delivery and collections, upon full reopening.
