Marigold cleans up with expanded cloths offering

Marigold, the UK’s favourite household gloves brand, continues to grow from strength-to-strength, by further expanding its innovative new cloths and scourers range, to offer a full range of products to meet different consumer cleaning needs, around the home.

Synonymous with cleaning, Marigold, the no.1 branded glove in the UK with 37% share and strong brand awareness, launched an innovative cloths range in March, after extensive consumer research.

Further building on this launch and strengthening the innovative new portfolio to meet a wide range of consumer needs, Marigold has launched six additional new products, taking the new cloths and scourers range to 11 high quality products.

Freudenberg Household Products (FHP), which owns the global trademark rights to Marigold and sister brand Vileda, and has just announced the purchase of the Italian laundry care brand Gimi, has used the latest technology to ensure maximum absorbency, scrubbing power and shine.  Launched initially in Wilkos, the new range is now also available in Homebase and Ocado.

Emmah Littlewood, Marigold marketing manager said: “Marigold has fantastic heritage and benefits from being synonymous with cleaning, offering products that are trusted for their quality, reliability and longevity. With our expertise in microfibre developed with Vileda, we knew we had a real opportunity to take Marigold beyond gloves and develop into the cloths and scourers market, which is currently worth over £125m in the UK.

“As with gloves, one size does not fit all, which is why we’ve created an innovative range offering cleaning solutions for all around the home and promising the same attributes of quality, reliability and durability Marigold customers expect and trust.

“As well as a brand new website and strong social media presence, we’re now working with some of the UK’s leading bloggers and consumer media to raise awareness of the Marigold range and show the different uses around the home.”
