Mary Berry teams up with Gousto to guarantee ‘Foolproof Cooking’ this Easter

“Cooking for friends and family, whether it’s for a speedy supper or a celebratory lunch, should be enjoyable, fun and rewarding,” says Mary Berry in her  Foolproof Cooking cook book.

What do Gousto, the number one home delivery recipe box service, and Mary Berry, the UK’s most-loved home cook, have in common? Besides their penchant for time-saving and delicious recipes, the duo have teamed up to make it even easier for Brits to guarantee Foolproof Cooking this Easter.

Mary Berry has more than 70 cookbooks to her name (Cooking with Cheese is an old favourite at Gousto HQ) and has kindly offered one of her latest foolproof recipes, from her new book ‘Mary Berry: Foolproof Cooking’ for Gousto’s Easter Menu.

Gousto’s head chefs Flo and Alice spent hours (it’s a hard life!) poring over the 120 fabulously foolproof recipes in Mary’s latest best-selling book, Mary Berry: Foolproof Cooking. After much deliberation they chose a winner: Pork with Mushroom Crust. Mary’s recipe, alongside other fabulously seasonal springtime creations, are available to order at from Thursday 10 March to Friday 18 March 2016 – to be delivered in time for Easter entertaining.

Just like the chefs in the Gousto kitchen, Mary Berry tests her recipes rigorously to ensure that they’re completely foolproof and dependable, allowing you to feel confident in the kitchen. Her new book, ‘Mary Berry: Foolproof Cooking’, features delicious weeknight dinners, irresistible dinner party suggestions and, of course, plenty of tempting traybakes and biscuits…

“No cookbook of mine would be complete without a least a couple of chapters on sweet things.”[image]

Alice Gousto, said: “We’re thrilled to bring one of Mary’s favourite recipes from her brand new book to your table this Easter! Her ‘foolproof’ Pork with Mushroom Crust is a real comfort, layering creamy Irish cheddar with meaty chestnut mushrooms and crispy, delicate panko breadcrumbs, all set off with a zing of Dijon mustard. A perfect way to see in springtime and it’s sure to be a hit if you’re cooking for friends or family this Easter.”

“Nowadays, we all lead such busy lives that we need to find ways to save time and plan ahead.”

As Mary Berry herself says, “this dish can be assembled up to eight hours ahead, ready for the oven. Cover with foil and keep in the fridge until ready to cook”. Foolproof, indeed! Plus, by buying the ingredients for Mary’s recipe at you reduce food waste by getting exactly what you need delivered fresh and full of flavour straight to your door on a day that suits you.
