Mentos Gum is extending its popular Pure Fresh line this month with the addition of two new fruity variants to its bottled gum range. Now available in Tropical and Cherry, the sugar free liquid centred gum promises long lasting flavour.
Bottles currently form 59% of the gum market and are growing at +10.5%, making the new additions to the Mentos Pure Fresh Gum range a potentially lucrative opportunity for retailers.
Mentos’ re-sealable bottles contain 50 pieces, great for on-the-go and handy for people looking for a quick refresh after coffee or before heading to a meeting. Retailers can optimise this by positioning stock close to coffee machines and food to go.
Tapping into the premium gum market, Mentos Pure Fresh Gum come in a larger 2g sized chew, 30% bigger per piece than its competitors.

People trying to cut back on sugar are now still able to enjoy the great taste of Mentos with this sugar-free chewing gum, with the extra burst that the fruity flavoured centre provides.
Fenton continues: “Retailers can take advantage of Mentos new fruit additions as an option to strengthen their range in stores and attract new consumers to the category who are looking for more fruit flavours. By adding colour and vibrancy to the refreshment category, we expect the orange and deep red coloured bottles to attract a younger audience looking for a more indulgent option when it comes to gum.”
The new Mentos Pure Fresh flavours are initially available from Morrisons, Co-op, Boots and WH Smith, before being rolled out to additional retailers.
