Metcalfe’s skinny popcorn launches on-pack movie partnership with Rakuten TV


From 17 September, leading UK popcorn brand Metcalfe’s and VOD service Rakuten TV will be giving consumers a film code with every purchase across all promotional packs of Metcalfe’s Impulse and Sharing popcorn formats.* Consumers will then be able to visit the website to claim their Rakuten TV film code — bringing the cinema straight into consumers’ living rooms. The promotion will run throughout autumn.

Celebrating the iconic partnership between movies and popcorn, the offer will run across each flavour of the Metcalfe’s skinny range, which includes the newly launched Sweet Chilli flavour, alongside Sweet ‘n’ Salt, Salted Caramel, Cinema Sweet and Sea Salt.

This strong on pack promotion grabs the attention of consumers with packaging truly ‘pops’ off shelf with its film reel style design and strong call out in the centre of the pack, cementing the at-home cinema occasion for consumers and prompting purchase. All flavours in the range are veggie-friendly, gluten-free (except Salted Caramel), under 100 calories per serving and made with no artificial flavours or colourings.
