Micros, the leading provider of technology for the retail and hospitality industries, has launched a multi-channel, pay-as-you-go, Software as a Service (SaaS) integrated Cloud POS and e-commerce platform where the application and entered data are held in a secure PCI compliant central environment, hosted by the company.
With 30 years’ experience, and five data centres, Micros already hosts critical business applications for many leading international grocery stores, hotels, casinos, airports, leisure parks and restaurants.
Customers are able to use the software without investing in hardware and a network on premise.
This new multi-channel retail solution is a result of the integration of Micros Cloud POS with the Micros Commerce Platform, which boasts clients such Charlotte Russe, Tourneau, Vera Bradley and Lily Pulitzer. The entire application can be run in a browser on a tablet or traditional POS as a single POS or a number of POS in various locations and provides central control of store and e-commerce functions with real-time reporting to enable informed decision making and business agility.
Micros said the system has benefited from its retail expertise and delivers all the capability of a mature POS solution with the mobility, flexibility and scalability required by today’s agile retailers.
