Milk Shake maker, Happy Monkey, is modernising its range of kids’ milkshakes with a move to handy portion-sized Tetra Pak cartons.
The milkshakes, available in chocolate and strawberry are sold in Asda, Waitrose and Morrisons stores nationwide.
The distinctive prism shape and light-weight design of the carton makes Happy Monkey Milkshakes perfect for little hands, Tetra Pak claims. The range, which is school approved and free from artificial colours or flavourings, gives kids all the nutritional benefits of milk, in the flavours they love, said Happy Monkey. The size and shape of the carton also makes it perfect for popping into lunchboxes or drinking whilst out and about, whether on picnics, at school or in the car, Tetra Pak adds.
Happy Monkey’s move to Tetra Pak cartons signals the brand’s commitment to sustainability. As well as being easy to recycle after use, the package is primarily made from renewable materials, which helps make the carton a low carbon choice. The cartons used by Happy Monkey also hold the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) stamp of approval, which means that as people enjoy the drinks, they can be confident they are doing their bit to help the world’s forests.
Greg Boyle, managing director of Happy Monkey, said: “We are really excited about the launch of our revamped Happy Monkey Milkshake range, and we think that the colourful, easy-to-hold cartons will appeal to parents looking for a fun, convenient and nutritious drink for their children. The fact that the cartons are made from renewable materials and are still easy to recycle was also a key factor in our decision to make the move.”
Mike Jarvis, portfolio manager at Tetra Pak UK & Ireland, said: “We have seen huge growth in the flavoured milk category recently, and it is now the second most widely consumed liquid dairy product after white milk worldwide. With this in mind, it’s a really exciting time to be working with such a fun and family-oriented flavoured milk brand. Our distinctively shaped Tetra Prisma Aseptic carton is perfect for Happy Monkey, and will help give the range the stand-out, on shelf appeal it deserves.
“Like Happy Monkey Milkshakes, this pack format is also ideal for the modern family, with a convenient shape and size, perfectly suited for growing kids and busy mums.”
The Happy Monkey Milkshakes are packed in the Tetra Pak Prisma Aseptic 200ml carton with straw. The drinks will be sold individually and in multipacks of three, at an RRP of £1.75.
