NCR Corporation (NCR) leads Europe in self-checkout (SCO) technology, according to research published by strategic research and consulting firm RBR. NCR, a global leader in omni-channel solutions, continues to lead in the shipments of SCO across key markets within the region including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and Russia. NCR also holds the top position in SCO shipments in all global regions tracked by RBR.
According to RBR’s “Global EPOS and Self-Checkout 2016” report, NCR also saw an increase in its shipments of electronic point-of-sale (EPOS) technology – and holds the #2 position worldwide.

RBR expects SCO shipments to grow across all of Europe through 2021, while EPOS will see its growth come from Central & Eastern European markets.
