The number one vegan and free-from chocolate brand have achieved a magnitude of success at this year’s Free From Christmas awards. The inaugural awards took place this week to recognise and celebrate seasonal free from products. All products that enter are fastidiously blind tasted by a specialist judging panel featuring chefs, manufacturers, dieticians, and allergy reactors, many being well-known figures in the food and allergy worlds.
NOMO bagged three coveted awards on the night: best large independent brand of the year, a gold award for their cookie dough reindeer, a new addition to the Christmas range, and a silver award for their advent calendar.
Since launching in 2019, NOMO has become a staple of the confectionary industry and is officially the number one vegan and free from chocolate brand in the UK. It is currently worth £7.6 million in RSV, selling over 6.6 million in unit sales and 351 tonnes of chocolate. NOMO has a strong following of both loyal and new customers; so much so that NOMO, on average, is bought twice as often as its competitors.
NOMO’s cookie dough reindeer is the newest member of the NOMO collection and picked up a gold award on the night. Made with NOMO’s famous creamy choc and filled with delicious cookie dough, it is already going down a treat with free-from and vegan fans this Christmas and makes the perfect stocking filler. Cookie dough is a mainstream flavour that vegans and allergy-sufferers will be familiar with in mainstream confectionery and yet may not have been able to enjoy before this launch.

The vegan and free-from advent calendar, priced at £5, has 24 windows opening to reveal either NOMO’s renowned creamy choc or the mouth-watering caramel and sea salt chocolate, with a message enclosed under each individual door. This calendar is perfect for free-from fans to enjoy over the festive period as Christmas approaches.
