The Central England Co-op in Coppice Road, Arnold has received a raft of updates to give it a fresher, lighter feel and to include a number of new ranges and features to boost its offering to the local community.
This follows the store’s colleagues working around the clock to ensure vulnerable people across the community have continued to have access to vital food and essentials through the Coronavirus pandemic.
The community food store has been undergoing a makeover in recent weeks with changes including:
- A new Costa Coffee machine installed
- Installation of a new hot and cold water refill station
- An updated product range to better reflect customers’ requirements
- New internal signage and decoration
Store manager Natalie Smith was appointed to her first managerial role earlier this year and is passionate about supporting her community through the store and as a member of the Society’s Member and Community Council.
Smith said: “We are all really happy with the changes which have made the shop look a lot brighter and have really opened it up, particularly at the front of the store, making it seem a lot bigger and making the flow around the shop a lot better.
“I would like to thank our customers and Members for their patience while the work has been taking place and we have already received a lot of nice, positive feedback about the changes.
“It has also really given the team a well-deserved boost after they have worked tirelessly over the last few months to support the Arnold community.”
The Coppice Road Food Store is the third Central England Co-op store in Nottinghamshire to relaunch this month following stores in Bramcote Lane, Wollaton and Skegby Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield after investments totalling almost £300,000.
The Coppice Road Food Store is open every day Monday to Sunday 7am-10pm.
The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a lifesaving defibrillator, cash machine, Collect Plus/Paypoint, car park, Lottery and an instore bakery.
