One Stop adopts convenience approach with launch of the frozen meal deal

One Stop has launched a new frozen meal deal, in response to consumer demand and the success of its existing evening and lunchtime meal deals.

The promotion is unique in the sector due to the breadth of products involved and offers customers ‘Any 4 for £5’ from a selection of over 50 frozen lines, complemented by the inclusion of a 1.25L PET soft drink.  Customers can choose any main, any side, any dessert and any drink from the featured range, all for £5, making substantial savings on the individual prices.  The launch follows the success of One Stop’s renowned lunchtime deal – at 3 for £3 – which has been greatly extended over the last 18 months, plus the retailer’s evening meal deal which was launched in April last year, offering ‘Any 3 items for £6’ within chilled ready meals, side dishes and desserts.

Lizzie Reynolds, One Stop’s customer director, said: “Our customer focus groups have regularly shown us that there’s an appetite for a frozen offer, to complement our other meal deals.  This is a great deal, running for eight weeks, which helps customers to save money on their daily shop, whilst giving lots of choice across the range.  Our chilled evening meal deal is already a firm favourite in-store – over a third of those who buy any product in the deal buy into the meal deal itself.  It’s clear that customers welcome the great value that our meal deals provide.”

The frozen meal deal is available now in all stores (company-owned and franchise) subject to stocking and availability, with a range of point of sale and leaflet features to support the promotion.
