Outlet shopping centre Fleetwood is celebrating the launch of the first official Best of British Day this autumn, to honour the spirit of Britain and indulge in national food, drinks and entertainment.
Held at Freeport Fleetwood on 13 September 2014, this patriotic day celebrated British icons including fish and chips, the Royal Family, London Hackney Carriages, Beefeaters, Pimm’s and The Beatles. The Outlet was decorated in Union Jacks and manned by beefeaters.
The themed day included British food, fresh strawberries and cream will be available, drinks, a Pimm’s van also parked up at the Outlet and entertainment included a Beatles tribute band and local theatre and dance productions.
John Magee, centre manager at Freeport Fleetwood, said: “We decided to officially coin the Best of British Day because we wanted to raise a glass to all the great things about Great Britain.”
The outlet centre offers a wide choice of fashion, homewares, fragrances, accessories and gift ideas from designer and high street stores including Moss, M&S Outlet, Jeff Banks and GAP Outlet. There is a wealth of locations in which to refuel too – whether it’s a light bite at Costa Coffee or a laid-back lunch in the Bay Tea Rooms.
Late night shopping is also available every Thursday until 8pm.
