A host of superstar teachers including David Aliu, the six foot six basketball star of the BBL Cheshire Nix team, plus the Bury Blue Devils, the women’s National League division two team, are leading classes this summer at outlet shopping centre, Freeport Fleetwood.

All lessons at the ‘Cool School’ have been based upon the idea of ‘things I’d like to learn.’ Taking advice from customers and their children, Freeport Fleetwood said it has designed a programme of free lessons ranging from basketball, to fashion design, to DJ skills.

John Magee, the centre manager at Freeport Fleetwood, said: “If you’re looking to entertain the kids this summer and want them to learn some new skills, we’ve got it covered. From hip hop to basketball, graffiti to circus skills, there’s something for everyone and they’re all free.

‘We’ve partnered with professional sports stars and industry professionals to deliver a challenging and fun programme of ‘Cool School’ events. It’s all the things you wished you could learn at school, but that they don’t teach! Don’t be bored this summer, come down, get involved and make new friends.”
