Savsé, the UK’s No.1 cold-pressed smoothie brand, has promoted its sales director Paul Gurnell to CEO. Gurnell’s promotion comes just 18 months after he joined the juices and smoothies business during which time the brand has experienced rapid growth and clocked up brand sales in excess of £12 million.
He starts in his role as CEO with immediate effect and boasts more than 17 years of FMCG industry experience. He previously worked at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare from 2007-2012 where he held a variety of senior category and sales roles. He then moved to Kantar Retail where he worked as Director of Consulting until 2014. Prior to joining Savsé in 2017 he also held senior sales and marketing roles with both Amazon and airline caterer AlphaLSG.
During his time at Savsé, Gurnell has built and led a high performing sales team who have achieved impressive levels of new distribution and growth across grocery, convenience and foodservice channels. Recent success has included becoming the UK’s no.1 cold pressed smoothies brand, launching into Tesco main estate stores, the launch of two new Protein Smoothies into Waitrose and a variety of new high profile customers and distribution points across the convenience retail and foodservice markets.
