The nation’s love affair with PizzaExpress is set to grow even deeper this Autumn with the release of its new official cookbook – PizzaExpress: From Italy with Love – on 16 September 2021, in partnership with The Orion Publishing Group.
It was love at first slice when Peter Boizot brought a specialist oven from Naples to Soho in 1965 and gave the British people their first taste of authentic pizza, creating an infatuation that is 56 years’ strong and counting. The launch of a cookbook follows the overwhelming response to the pizza maker’s recipe releases throughout lockdown, and manifests the magic and passion of the popular pizzeria’s menus for customers to recreate at home.
Featuring recipes for over 100 PizzaExpress favourites from the last 56 years including Dough Balls, Margherita and Sloppy Giuseppe as well as spicy, seafood, vegan and veggie pizzas, PizzaExpress: From Italy with Love caters to every mood and palette. Alongside 68 pizza recipes, many of which are ready in minutes, there are sumptuous salads, decadent desserts, and delicious dressings and sauces that create a mouthwatering meal for every occasion. There are also exclusive recipes for artisan pizza base doughs such as Leggera and Calabrese including a special gluten free option.
