Pots & Co launches ‘upside-down’ Baked Lemon Cheesecake

Pots & Co, the restaurant quality, premium puds brand, announces the exciting launch of a new ‘upside-down’ baked lemon cheesecake. This unique product features a baked cheesecake cream on top of a layer of zesty lemon curd, topped off with our handmade crunchy biscuit crumble. The biscuit crumble is contained in a ‘hat’ that sits on top of the pot which can be opened and sprinkled on top of the cheesecake, adding a bit of restaurant-style theatre and playfulness to the eating experience.  And this way the biscuit crumble retains its fresh, golden crunchiness – it doesn’t go soggy!

Founder of Pots & Co, Julian Dyer, said: “Re-inventing classic recipes has always been a passion of mine – I love seeing how we can take something as classic as a lemon cheesecake and put our own contemporary twist on it. Lemon Cheesecake is a classic but to do it justice we felt we needed to do an upside-down version, with a portion biscuit crumble in a sprinkle & serve portion, to ensure it retained its golden crunchiness, giving you a better all-round experience. This is what Pots & Co is all about, keeping to our principles – making simple puddings with top ingredients, precise cooking and consistent delivery.”

The majority of the Pots & Co pudding line up are baked in their signature colourful ceramic pots sourced from a family pottery in Valencia, and this Lemon Cheesecake is no exception. Baking in the pot adds extra depth and flavour. All Pots & Co products are recipes perfected by top restaurant chefs in the Pots & Co London kitchen. We use only the finest ingredients, and everything is handmade without any preservatives or additives.

RRP £2.00 and will be available in Waitrose from 29 April, vegetarian-friendly.
