Pudding brand Pots & Co today announced the launch of its limited edition Pick-me-up Tiramisù, revealing that 100% of all profits will be donated to frontline staff in partnership with HEROES and The Care Workers’ Charity.

Launching in Waitrose stores nationwide from Wednesday 15th July for £3.50, the Pots & Co Chefs’ take on a classic Tiramisù is a true taste sensation, inspired by the Italian meaning “pick-me-up”. Combining a smooth mascarpone and coffee cream with a delectable biscotti and chocolate crunch topping, this alcohol-free pudding is sure to provide dessert fans with little moments of deliciousness – the perfect pick-me-up during these strange times.

Created in partnership between the Pots & Co Innovation Team and British Michelin-starred Chef Phil Howard, the Pick-me-up Tiramisù marks the next step in the brand’s commitment to supporting frontline NHS staff during lockdown. Over the last six weeks, Pots & Co’s founder Julian Dyer and research and development manager, Andrew Chelley have been working with chef Phil Howard to prepare, cook and deliver over 4,000 meals from his Elystan Street Restaurant to frontline workers. The meals have been donated to NHS staff at the Royal Brompton, Harefield, Whipps Cross and surrounding hospitals, all of which have been accompanied with Pots & Co puddings.

Julian, founder of Pots & Co, said: “We’ve launched a number of initiatives during lockdown to help give thanks to frontline staff;  the launch of our Chefs’ take on a Pick-me-up Tiramisù in Waitrose marks the next step in this journey. Please pick up a pack when you’re in Waitrose.  Remember 100% of the profit will go to frontline staff.  Whether donations from our desserts directly help the NHS staff that have helped us throughout these tough times, or supporting care workers, we hope the nation can get onboard and help give thanks yet again for their extraordinary efforts.”

Co-founder and CEO of HEROES, Dr Dominic Pimenta, said: “During the pandemic both HEROES and Pots & Co supported hospitals with hundreds of thousands of food drops to get NHS workers through some tough times. We are extremely pleased to continue to work together more closely with this very tasty product, the proceeds of which will go to fund sustainable PPE, counselling services, food and childcare support for NHS workers in need.”

Karolina Gerlich, executive director of The Care Workers’ Charity, said: “We are delighted that Pots & Co have created this lovely pick-me-up dessert to show their support for people who have been working on the frontline throughout the pandemic. Care workers have shown their resilience, determination and compassion throughout this time. The proceeds from the pick-me-up Tiramisù will help The Care Workers’ Charity to continue to support care workers and to develop our provision of support.”

The twin pack of Pick-me-up puddings will include randomised coloured pots, ideal for customers that are keen to collect the rainbow as a symbol of their support to frontline workers.

Pots & Co handcraft their puddings in their London kitchen and use only the finest ingredients, including sustainable Colombian cocoa. Their delectable puddings are made without additives and with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the same restaurant quality from every pot.

The Pick-me-up Tiramisù twin pack (RRP £3.50) is set to launch in 240 Waitrose stores across the UK from Wednesday 15th July, and is the perfect option for those looking for a delicious dessert to enjoy during British summertime.
