Poundland expands entertainment and stationery ranges

Poundland has today taken the latest step in its transformation by extending its ranges of entertainment and stationery products and launching a trial of free from foods.

It comes just days after Britain’s favourite discount retailer announced the biggest transformation programme in its history, including introducing wider ranges, new categories and investment in revamped stores.

Poundland’s simple pricing policy, which has already proved popular with customers in categories such as grocery, health and beauty and household products, means it can now extended its ranges in electronics and stationery across all its stores.

It has also enabled it to launch a pilot scheme in selected stores in the fast-growing free from foods category.

From today, all stores across the UK will have upgraded items such as wireless headphones and portable soundbars for just £8 each under its Power Geeks brand.

Other items include a new range of phone cases for £2 and headphones for kids at £5.

Thanks to our simple pricing Poundland can offer broader ranges so customers can grab bargains such as:

  • Wireless earphones £5 (Primark £8)
  • Wireless headphones £8 (Asda £10 to £15)
  • Portable soundbar £8 (B&M £12)
  • Wireless speaker £5 (Primark £9)

There is a brand new look and feel for stationery at Poundland – with ranges for adults, children and students – now in all stores at market leading prices. They include leading brands such as BIC, Paper Mate, Zebra and NucoPaper, with a comprehensive range, from pens, paper and pencil cases to notebooks and files. Next week, Poundland launches its first sustainable notebooks made from 100 per cent recycled paper and selling for £3 compared to £8 elsewhere. Kids’ stationery has had a massive makeover which will follow in August, just in time for back to school. With a focus on top brands and quality, prices 30 per cent cheaper than our nearest rival. Key products will include a spy pen, novelty pens, block highlighters, and learn to spell notebooks, including robots and ballerina themes.

Among the items on offer at outstanding value in the stationery range are:

  • Paper Mate Gels (x4) 75p (market value £1)
  • BIC Velleda grip board marker (x4) £2 (WHSmith £4.99)
  • Tippex pocket mini mouse £1 (exclusive to Poundland)
  • 100% recycled notebooks £3 (market value £8)
