Premium tonic water and mixer brand Lixir redesigns packaging with sleek new look

This June the award-winning premium tonic water and mixer, Lixir, launches its new packaging design with a sleek and modern look. This is an exciting development for the brand which launched in 2018 and also follows its recent milestone investment of £1.1 million.

The packaging redesign sees a bespoke sleek glass bottle with the brand’s embossed ‘X’ emblem for a more distinctive premium feel. Lixir’s transparent front and back labels have been updated to a more vibrant opaque labelling to make it more stand-out. The bottleneck label is more prominent and states ‘zero calories’ as well as short descriptive information on the flavour profile of the liquid.

In order to reach a wider audience Lixir will also be launching a new bigger 500ml bottle across four of its expressions; Classic Indian, Pink Grapefruit, Rhubarb & Ginger and Elderflower & Lemon. These larger bottles are perfect for sharing and will debut at the independent pop-up shop, Raye The Store, launching on 30th June for a month on Floral St, Covent Garden.

Lixir was founded by bartending duo and long-time friends, Matt Mahatme and Jordan Palmer. Matt and Jordan launched the brand out of a desire to create a health-conscious product without compromise and to bring an edge to the market with its contemporary feel. They have developed a perfect balance of ‘barrier-smashing’ flavours, with a focus on natural ingredients. Lixir has reduced the use of quinine in its tonics to lessen the bitterness of the end product as well as providing a more versatile flavour profile to the current tonics available.

The company has successfully launched into 18 markets and is stocked in bars and restaurants across the UK; including food and retail park, Boxpark, where it is the house mixer, as well as in esteemed pub estates including City Pub Co and Mosaic Pub & Dining.

The brand already has multiple accolades under its belt, with each product having won an award, including the Rhubarb and Ginger Tonic which was awarded a Great Taste 2-Star award, and most recently the Elderflower & Lemon Tonic was the 2022 Tonic Category Champion at the Bartenders Brand Awards.
