Outdoorsy shoppers in Lancashire flocked to the newly revamped Regatta store at Freeport Fleetwood and helped sales increase by 16% in the first week of reopening, the outlet centre reports.
The refreshed store, which has new shopping areas, a new footwear wall, a wider selection of Regatta lines and new signage, opened on 31 August 2014 to a range of new customers.
The leisure wear giant has been part of the Freeport Fleetwood complex since it opened in 1995 and to celebrate continuing success, it completely refurbished the store.
The store is offering a range of deals and discounts to celebrate the relaunch. Shoppers are able to choose from reduced items such as Deakin (RRP £25), Jenna (RRP £20) and Brennen shirts (RRP £20) at £15 for two. Or buy Thompson and Sweethart zip neck fleeces at £10 for two (RRP £20 each) or the Cathie and Hedman full zip fleeces £15 for two (RRP £28 each). Matthews and Midsummer water proof jackets (RRP £50) are available at £14.99.
Regatta’s head of retail stores, Chris Dransfield, said he hoped customers would continue to enjoy visiting the new store.
“In line with the Regatta rebrand for autumn/winter, we felt this was the perfect time to refresh our Fleetwood store and create some real shopping interest for our customers. We are delighted with how the new store looks, it shows the breadth of our ranges and we can continue to offer our customers some really great deals on Regatta products in a fantastic new shopping environment.”
John Magee, centre manager at Freeport Fleetwood, said: “Our customers at Freeport Fleetwood are an active bunch and our updated Regatta store has clearly helped to drive sales. Not only do we have a Regatta store but also a Mountain Warehouse and Trespass. If you’re into canoeing, climbing or skiing, we’ve got the specialist outfit for you.”
