The English Whisky Co. has launched a special Single Malt Whisky to mark 101 years since World War 1 came to an end.
The whisky is the perfect tribute to all those who fought during the war, with a label that depicts a silhouette of a soldier standing in front of the St George’s flag, along with the traditional poppy and the words ‘Lest We Forget’.
In keeping with the theme, the whisky itself has gentle undertones of smoke, and elements of earthiness to it, giving a nod to the battlefields.
“We are delighted to launch this special whisky to mark such an important time in the history of this country,” explains Andrew Nelstrop, MD at The English Whisky Co. “In 2014, we released a similar bottling to remember those that fell in World War 1 and it proved so popular that due to repeated requests for another batch, we felt it only fitting to launch another,” he adds.
A family-owned and run business, The English Whisky Co. was the founder of English whisky when it opened its doors 13 years ago. As the industry leader it uses locally sourced ingredients to produces the finest English Single Malt at its distillery in Norfolk.
This special whisky is available on a limited run. RRP £49.99.
