Retail display specialist, Leach, projects further growth after successful 125th year

Retail display specialist Leach is projecting growth of 15% in the next 12 months, following a successful 125 years in business.

Renowned for creating ‘wow factor’ environments for brands throughout the UK and Europe, Leach has grown from a one-man photographic studio established in 1891, to a 92-strong, £10m turnover organisation. And significant successes during 2016 means 2017 looks set to be the biggest year yet.

The continued popularity of Leach’s industry-renowned Stik – a magnetic wallpaper system which won The Queen’s Award for Innovation – has helped fuel revenue growth of over 15% since 2015. The team’s striking, large format graphic display solution Vision – available as an illuminated or non-illuminated lightbox of up to 5m high by any width – has also contributed to this increased turnover.

To support this continued expansion, the team has recruited 23 members of staff, formed a new management team, invested over £250,000 in new product development and ploughed a further £750,000 into new technology, in the past 12 months alone.

However, in this milestone 125th year, it seems this family-run company has even more reasons to celebrate.

Managing director Richard Leach explains: “We’ve worked with prestigious global brands including BMW, Topshop and GAP for many years, so we’ve had to establish a multi-skilled in-house team equipped to deliver turnkey projects to the very highest standard. That’s why, from the initial design concepts, through to the installation of our vast displays, we take care of everything ourselves. I believe this has played a crucial part in us securing new work, with projects such as Sky and Carphone Warehouse being completed in recent months.”

“You don’t enjoy 125 years in business without being progressive. So, as we look ahead to the next 12 months, there’s even more in store. We’ll be rolling out some ‘industry first’ products that will bring a whole new dimension to retail displays. We also plan to expand our 30,000sqft headquarters, take on at least 9 more employees, and invest an additional £250,000 into further product development. It looks set to be a very exciting year indeed.”
