Retail and leisure asset management specialist, Realm, announces two senior hires

Award-winning retail and leisure asset management specialist, Realm, has announced the appointment of two new senior members of staff.

John Magee joins Freeport Fleetwood as centre manager and Jacquie Davies will be based at the Alderley Edge headquarters to take up a newly created portfolio facilities management role.

Magee has spent almost nine years working in senior retail management, most recently for the Debenhams Group, as store manager in their Sunderland base. Prior to that he was part of the team at Tesco.

Magee will have overall responsibility for running the popular Lancashire outlet – working to stimulate growth and build on the centre’s regional presence. In addition to driving increases in footfall, he plans to enhance the shopping and leisure environment at Freeport Fleetwood and apply his retailing skills to support the centre’s 45 tenants.

With more than 13 years in top-level retail management, Davies joins from McArthur Glen where she was facilities manager at Cheshire Oaks since 2007.

Now at Realm, Davies will be working on driving efficiencies in procurement and maintenance across the wider business as well as assisting the centre management teams in driving standards nationwide.

Speaking about the appointments, Asset Management director, Angus Fyfe, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming two experienced managers to our business.

“Expansion and development are key to our ongoing success and I know John and Jacquie have key roles to play in helping the business operate more successfully.”
