On Saturday 24 August, Riva Home opened its first UK retail outlet store in the Merrion Centre. Established in Leeds in 1973, Riva specialise in the design and manufacture of over 5000 homeware products including cushions, curtains, bedding and throws as well as a wide range of other home accessories including door stops and table runners.
Riva Home have a Head Office and Distribution centre based in Leeds, employing a workforce of 60. They are a long established homeware supplier to the UK, Europe and across the globe but this will be their first venture into opening their own retail outlet store.
Historically Riva have only supplied trade outlets; amassing 10 concessions in total, including Boundary Mill as well as independent boutiques, departments stores and both high street and online retailers. The Merrion Centre in Leeds Arena Quarter district will mark the first ever Riva Home outlet in the UK and will be based on the main mall adjacent to Ryman and Select.
The new Riva Home outlet will create five new jobs it will be managed by Trish Kirby who has a wealth of retail experience including Chiltern Mills, Boots and The Yorkshire Linen Co.

It was the ideal location to bring our first full outlet store to customers!’
Helen Green, associate director for Town Centre Securities (TCS), owners of the Merrion Centre said: “We are thrilled that another long established Yorkshire company have chosen the Merrion Centre for their first ever store in the UK. Riva Home have a terrific range of products and homeware at great prices and I’m sure that they will have great appeal. There are over 5,000 new residential units currently in the development pipeline next to the Merrion Centre, so new stores such as Riva will really be able to capitalise on this.
