Rushmere Shopping Centre in Craigavon, the 500,000sq ft regional mall serving the West of Northern Ireland, has today announced it is 100% let following the signing of CEX and Uberfone.
CEX, the technology specialist retailer, is to open a 1,892sq ft store on Rushmere’s West Mall this autumn. Joining CEX in time for Christmas is Uberfone, with a 1,034 sq ft store in the East Mall. The latest signings follow the recent openings by Skechers, Pandora, Danish fashion brand, At The Studio, and a new boutique from Irish independent fashion retailer, Clockwork, at the centre.
CEX specialises in technology, computing and video games, and currently has ten stores in NI, Rushmere brings this to eleven. Mobile phone accessory company Uberfone also offers a repair service for mobile phones and tablets in addition to products. The brand currently has five stores located throughout NI.
Commenting on the new lettings, Martin Walsh, centre manager at Rushmere, said: “Trade has been very strong over recent weeks and with the new lettings filling our last few units we can look forward to overall performance increasing even further in the run up to the festive season.”
“Research has shown customers are now travelling from further afield to enjoy the full extent of Rushmere’s offer, which has recently been boosted by the addition of brands such as Skechers, and local independent retailer, Clockwork. With free car parking and an unparalleled retail and leisure offer, Rushmere is the most popular retail destination for the west of the Province.”
In addition to the lettings activity, planning consent has recently been granted for the development of two new restaurants at Rushmere. Upon completion in 2016, nearly 200 jobs will have been created, making Rushmere one of the major employers in the Craigavon area.
