Those who are afraid of spicy flavours, beware this Halloween as Sainsbury’s has launched a new hellishly good sandwich – and it’s certainly not for the faint-hearted.
The new limited edition Spicy Hell’s Chicken Sand‘witch’, is inspired by the creepiest of crawlies and is sure to add a delightful fright to lunchbreaks this autumn.
Instagram-worthy and oh-so spooky, the sand‘witch’ is served in a distinctive black charcoal bun, packed with spicy Korean-inspired gochujang marinated chicken chunks, tasty Red Leicester cheese, coleslaw and crunchy apollo leaf.
Whilst it makes the perfect spooky Halloween treat, there is certainly nothing frightful about the taste, with the delicious flavours working perfectly together to pack a punch at lunch (or any time of day).
Priced at just £3, it won’t give wallets a shock, and is available throughout the month of October.
Shuwen Tan, Sainsbury’s product developer, said: “Knowing that our customers love getting involved with Halloween, we wanted to offer them something innovative and different this year – adding spookiness without compromising on flavour. Packed with succulent Korean-inspired spicy chicken and finished off with a charcoal bun for added drama, it’s a delightfully terrifying addition to our Food-to-Go range this Autumn”.
The new Spicy Hell’s Halloween Chicken Sand‘witch’ can be found lurking in the shadows of the food-to-go section across 970 Sainsbury’s stores nationwide now until 31 October.
