BBC TV cookery show, Saturday Kitchen, has teamed up with the online produce supplier, Farmison & Co, to help viewers recreate the show’s recipes at home.
The collaboration includes the creation of a Saturday Kitchen Recipe Box by Farmison & Co, which will allow viewers to purchase recipes with produce and be guided through the process via the UK’s leading farm fresh online market.
From £44.95 – each box will contain the core ingredients and chef guided recipe cards for three meals serving between two and four people. The first box is available to order from the 18 September 2013 and contains recipes from Raymond Blanc, Ken Hom and James Martin – with ingredients for a poached chicken with wild mushroom fricasse dish, a pineapple pork and noodle stir fry dish and a beef bourguignon with mash.
Chef Mark Sargeant Jr said: “My recipes can only ever be as good as the ingredients we use and at my restaurants the most important thing for us is sourcing the very best produce. The better the ingredients are the less you need to do as their quality will always shine through. This is a fantastic opportunity to easily replicate the chefs’ recipes without the hard work of shopping.”
Saturday Kitchen’s executive producer, Amanda Ross, said: “It’s great to be able to offer viewers, no matter where they are, the chance to get hold of the best possible produce. We always use the best we can find on Saturday Kitchen and now it will be easy for the viewers to get the same quality of produce to make the dishes as good as our star chefs.”
The Saturday Kitchen box will be available as a monthly subscription or as a one-off gift, each month a varying recipe selection highlighting key Saturday Kitchen Chef recipes and chosen each month for the seasonality and freshness of the produce.
In addition to the varying monthly boxes, the Saturday Kitchen Christmas Day Hamper will comprise items such as Chocolate Stout Pudding and Rare Breed pigs in blankets. Perfect for the discerning gastronome other Christmas products include exclusive smoked items from Staal Smokehouse in East Yorkshire such as Twice Smoked Duck, hand carved Smoked Eel and Smoked Goose breast, a host of unique cheese such as Grimbister, Baby Cooleeney and a Richard III Wensleydale or simply Farmison & Co’s Six-Bird Roast including quail and partridge.
In addition to the monthly Saturday Kitchen Box – Farmison & Co will support Saturday Kitchen at the BBC Good Show series in London and Birmingham, offering visitors entertaining and gift solutions for Christmas.
Co-founder of Farmison & Co, John Pallagi, said: “Best professional chefs use the best ingredients – and we make the link to the home cook by supplying those ingredients door to door to the home cook consumer. We are thrilled to be partnering with Saturday Kitchen and offering viewers the opportunity to create exciting dishes inspired by their favourite TV chefs.”
