Sheaffer named as sponsor of National Stationery Week for fifth year

Historic writing brand Sheaffer’s stylish pens have been the perfect inspiration for scribes for generations – and now the 102-year-old brand is delighted to announce it will once again be throwing its weight behind the campaign to Keep Britain Writing as a sponsor of next year’s National Stationery Week.

Globally-renowned for the style and quality of its luxury writing products, Sheaffer was one of the first sponsors of the first ever National Stationery Week in 2012 and has announced it will continue its support  of the campaign to get the nation writing in 2016, the fifth year of the event.

National Stationery Week will take place from 25 April to 1 May 2016 and organisers said the extravaganza would be bigger and better than ever before to bring the nation together in celebrating the beauty of the written word.

Christopher Leonard-Morgan, organiser of National Stationery Week, said: “We created the event to get more people putting pen to paper and writing more often, especially children.

“Writing, and being able to write by hand matters and is as important as ever, even in an increasingly digital world. It isn’t a question of one or the other.
