Footwear retailer, Shoe Zone, has donated an incredible £40,000 to the National Emergency Trust Coronavirus Appeal, through a number of fundraising efforts.

The retailer introduced a new option on both their UK and Ireland websites which allowed shoppers to round their orders up to the nearest pound. The ‘spare change’ from this has raised £20,000, bringing Shoe Zone’s total donation to the NET Coronavirus appeal to £40,000.

Further donations to the appeal can be made here.

Charles Smith, chairman of Shoe Zone, said: “Over the past few months, it has been lovely to see the amount of generosity from businesses and the public and to witness everyone come together to support each other through this difficult time.

“After donating £20,000 to show our support for the most vulnerable in our society earlier on in the year, it has been great to see so many of our customers round their nearest orders up to also show their support, which has resulted in a further £20,000 donation to the appeal.”
