siggi’s brings Icelandic style skyr to the UK with Morrisons launch

siggi’ssiggi’s, the Icelandic style skyr brand known for its simple recipes and high protein content, is launching in Morrisons.

The launch introduces four Icelandic-style skyr yogurts to shoppers: two Natural 450g pots in 0% fat and 5% fat, alongside two 2x140g less sugar fruit multipacks in Strawberry and Mango & Passionfruit.

Made using traditional Icelandic style skyr methods, siggi’s delivers a thick, creamy texture with a simple ingredient list – offering 50% more protein[i] and 30% less sugar than other yogurts[ii]. The Natural pots are high in protein with no added sugar, while the fruit multipacks are also high in protein, contain less sugar and are sweetened with fruit and cane sugar, offering a differentiated proposition within the chilled category.

Founded by Siggi Hilmarsson, the brand was born from a desire to recreate the skyr he grew up eating in Iceland after moving to the US and finding the yogurts there too sweet. Inspired by Iceland’s long skyr-making tradition, he set out to create a thick, creamy yogurt with simple ingredients and a more authentic taste, without any artificial ingredients such as artificial flavourings, colourings, preservatives or sweeteners.

Lise Chevallier, senior brand manager at siggi’s, says: “Launching into Morrisons marks an important step for siggi’s as we bring our Icelandic-style skyr to UK shoppers. With its thick, creamy texture and focus on simple recipes, the range offers a clear point of difference within the category.

“As demand grows for clean, artificial‑free high protein, siggi’s stands out as the perfect skyr yogurt, offering a delicious range of both natural and fruited skyr variants, that meets exactly what consumers are looking for today.”

siggi’s 450g Natural pots in 0% fat and 5% fat, RRP £3.25, and Strawberry and Mango & Passionfruit 2x140g multipacks, RRP £2.50, are available in Morrisons now.
