SodaStream has announced a major retail partnership with Sainsbury’s, to make it easier than ever for consumers to enjoy sparkling water at home. The move means the world’s number one sparkling water brand will soon become a familiar sight in the UK’s supermarkets.
The partnership, launching 30th August, enables consumers to buy and exchange gas cylinders with ease from 580 Sainsbury’s locations as part of their weekly shop – with the sparkling water makers available in 170 of those stores.
A significant moment for new and existing customers, the launch makes it more convenient than ever to replenish SodaStream supplies. Each SodaStream cylinder is lightweight and makes up to 60 litres of sparkling water; so customers can enjoy fresh sparkling water anytime from the comfort of their own home.
What’s more, the SodaStream Jet Sparkling Water Maker will be available to buy from 170 stores across the country, along with three SodaStream Classic syrup flavours. Now customers don’t need to look further than their weekly shop to create freshly sparkling water and flavoured drinks at the touch of a button.
Tiago Alves, general manager UK and Ireland at SodaStream, said: “Our customers wanted increased availability to buy and exchange gas as part of their weekly shop; we listened and we made this possible, entering into this hugely exciting partnership with Sainsbury’s. By making gas exchange more convenient than ever, we’ve made it even easier for our customers to cut down on their single-use plastic consumption, whilst being able to enjoy sparkling water from the comfort of their own home.”
The SodaStream Jet sparkling water maker is available to purchase from Sainsbury’s stores now from just £75 RRP. Alternatively, customers can buy new SodaStream cylinders for £23 RRP, or bring in their used cylinders to store and receive a £10 discount when purchasing a new one. The full range can also be purchased through the SodaStream website.
