Spar stores are getting their oven gloves on all over the country to help raise funds for Marie Curie’s summer campaign, the Blooming Great Tea Party.
Every Spar retailer that throws a Blooming Great Tea Party this June is helping provide vital care and support for people living with a terminal illness and their families.
The money they raise all across the UK will also ensure Marie Curie’s information line is there for anyone affected by a terminal illness and help fund research.
The charity has recently added clinical support to the service, which means people from anywhere in the country can speak to a Marie Curie Nurse, whether they have a terminal illness or are concerned for a loved one who does.
In support of the campaign, Spar has teamed up with a scrumptious selection of branded and Spar own brand lines to offer product specific donations, ranging from 5p to 10p, to Marie Curie while the Blooming Great Tea Party event is running.
Laura McNally, Spar marketing controller, said: “We are really proud that our retailers are helping raise vital funds this summer – while giving shoppers some tasty teatime treats and a ton of fun in the process!
“By holding their own tea parties, our Spar stores are helping Marie Curie reach even more people living with terminal illness and their families.
“The money Spar stores raise at their Blooming Great Tea Parties will also help fund the vital research Marie Curie does, and help provide hands on nursing care to more people at the end of their lives,” she said.
