Spar UK is revamping its own brand cider range with a new taste and redesigned packaging, in a move to boost sales in the fast-growing cider category.
The modern and fresh new design is set to help the range stand out more prominently on shelves, while the taste of the cider has been greatly improved to appeal to both existing and new customers, claims Spar.
The re-launch will take place across the whole range of formats, which includes a two- and three-litre bottle and the four x 440ml can pack; which will be price-marked at £2.75, offering shoppers excellent value for money, said Spar.
Chris Lewis, Spar UK licensed trading director, said: “The cider category is growing consistently in convenience stores, offering us a real opportunity for us to grow sales with our new and improved Spar brand cider range.
“With the huge success of last year’s Cider Event under our belt, we are anticipating a significant growth in sales following the revamp, and are urging our retailers to stock up on the new and refreshed range,” Lewis said.
The revamped range will roll out to Spar stores from 7 March 2013.
