Gifts and gastronomic delights

The Spirit of Christmas Fair is the home of Christmas shopping and provides a chance to indulge in an exceptional Christmas-shopping experience like no other, according to the show organisers.

Held at Olympia, 4-9 November 2014, the Fair features a new collection of independent boutiques and emerging design talent, offering visitors the opportunity to uncover gifts for family and friends and gain inspiration to help create the perfect Christmas.

Hosted by House & Garden magazine, the Fair promises a treasure trove of beautiful gifts, all hand-picked for their quality and originality, and simply not found on the high street. With a collection of gifts and treats including fashion, interior accessories, gifts for men, gifts for children and babies, Christmas decorations and more this really is a date for the diary, organisers claim.

But Christmas isn’t just about gifts, and the Spirit of Christmas Fair has food covered too in the popular Food Hall. Here visitors can discover gastronomic delights from the finest artisan producers and Great Taste award-winners and be inspired to learn about festive tipples and specialist delicacies. They can also taste and compare treats before stocking up on Christmas fayre ranging from chutneys and preserves, liquors and chocolates to specialist cheeses, olive oils, award-winning Christmas cakes and puddings.

Over and above shopping, visitors will be able to learn invaluable festive tips from expert-led workshops this season and visit free interactive workshop hosting a line-up of leading experts.

These include the secrets of scenting with Miller Harris or Jo Malone London; icing expertise with Biscuiteers and a Champagne experience with Louis Roederer’s Master of Wine.

Lastly, no shopping experience would be complete without a visit to the Mosimann’s Winter Restaurant, the appointed caterers to HRH The Prince of Wales. Offering breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea there is no excuse not to pop in and enjoy their seasonal and delicious menu, said show organisers.

The Fair was launched in 2001 at Olympia, London. The Fair celebrates the start of the Christmas season and builds on the Spirit brand’s values of setting the benchmark for high quality products from hundreds of the UK’s  independent retailers. The fair’s partners include; Mosimann’s, Louis Roederer, Friends of The Royal Marsden, Cowshed, True Grace and The Great Taste Awards.
