Subway UK and Ireland and Tastemade announce the creation of a series of ‘at home’ recipes inspired by Subway’s iconic range of Subs, sauces and famous cookies. With the demand for at home meal inspiration at an all time high, the recipes, inspired by some of most-craved menu items of the world’s largest restaurant chain, give guests an opportunity to recreate the Subway experience from their own kitchens.
The recipes have been created in partnership with Tastemade, a modern media company, as part of the global food innovation alliance between the two brands which unites both businesses in their shared love and passion for great tasting food.
The first Subway-inspired recipe launched on Thursday 23 April with Subway-style Herb & Cheese Submarine Bread. This will be followed up with the instructions of how to make recipes inspired by the brand’s best selling menu items: Meatball Marinara Sub, Chicken Teriyaki Sub, Double Chocolate Chip Cookies and Chipotle Southwest Sauce, over the course of the following weeks.
Angelina Gosal, head of marketing, Subway UK and Ireland, commented: “To inspire our guests’ lunchtimes at home, we wanted to pass on some of the secrets behind our most iconic products. Paired with the expertise from our Sandwich Artists, our loyal guests can now try to recreate their favourite Subs and cookies using ingredients they should be able to find in their local supermarket! In the meantime, we look forward to serving our original recipes in stores again just as soon as we can.”
Jeff Imberman, head of sales & brand partnerships, Tastemade, commented: “Our audience is seeking inspiration from Tastemade now more than ever as evident in our consistent viewership growth. We love that Subway® is leaning into the moment and providing consumers with inspiration and value during this unique time. We’ve ramped up our remote production capabilities so that we can continue to create engaging content, as well as content with our brand partners.”
