Superdrug has launched a range of fabric face coverings online for £2.99. The face masks will also be available in-store from this week, in line with the reopening of the full Superdrug store estate, with the aim of providing customers with a safe but enjoyable shopping experience.
Superdrug’s commercial director, Simon Comins, says: ‘We are pleased to be able to meet customer demand by bringing this range of face coverings to market quickly and at a really accessible price point for our customers. The launch coincides with government guidelines on the compulsory wearing of face coverings on public transport, which we fully support and these reusable coverings offer an alternative to the disposable surgical masks we already have available in-store.’
The face covering uses 3 layered fabric technology with a middle layer of 3D interlock fabric which significantly reduces particle transfer, whilst being completely breathable. The fabric also has certified antibacterial and biocidal finishing, and is water repellent. Being completely reusable, the face coverings can be hand or machine washed daily after use. The covering is made from a stretchy fabric which moulds to the wearers face and there are three colour options available: white, black and pink.
Superdrug already offer disposable non-medical grade face masks should customers prefer single use, medical style options. The disposable non-medical grade face masks are CE marked and made from 3 ply non-sterilized material and offer comfortable, single use wear. The masks are available in boxes of 50 for £29.99, or are on offer for 4 packs of 50 for £99.99.
