Grosvenor Europe has announced that Superdry has opened a 10,000sq ft store on Liverpool ONE’s South John Street. The brand, famed for combing American design with Japanese inspired graphics, relocated from a store on Paradise Street, which will accommodate the JD Sports upsize opening later this year.
The new store is the brand’s second concept store in the North. Alongside a state of the art music system and bespoke lighting, it features an impressive lightbox displaying the Liverpool skyline, as well as a giant screen showcasing the Superdry Summer campaign film, ‘The Night is Young’. The new store stocks the entire Superdry range including both men and women’s Superdry Sport ranges, the Idris Elba collaboration, and the Men’s premium collection.
Commenting on the news, Alison Clegg from Grosvenor Europe, said: “Superdry has created a brilliant new store with several exciting features. They have built a strong catchment of loyal customers and this considerable upsize is testament to their success at Liverpool ONE. We have no doubt they will continue to trade fantastically in this new location”
This follows recent openings for global lifestyle and fashion brand, GUESS, who launched a 5,000sq ft flagship on Liverpool ONE’s Paradise Street in May, and British clothing brand, Ben Sherman, who opened their first full price store in the UK outside the Greater London area on Liverpool ONE’s Manesty’s Lane earlier this year. Also joining the line-up is Five Guys, which has opened a prominent 4,822sq ft site on The Terrace, and JD Sports, who are set to open a new regional flagship of almost 40,000sq ft later this year.
