Symphony RetailAI announces 2020 growth figures and new senior hires


Symphony RetailAI, a leading global provider of integrated AI-enabled marketing, merchandising and supply chain solutions for FMCG retailers and manufacturers, has announced its 2020 growth and momentum, with both SaaS revenue and perpetual licence revenue up considerably from the year prior.

Additionally, Symphony RetailAI announced the appointment of three new members to the executive team, including one based in the UK, who will play key roles in the company’s continued growth trajectory.

Looking to the most recent sales quarter, total revenue was up 19% in Q4 2020 compared to Q4 2019. The company’s growth for 2020 yielded a SaaS revenue increase of 65% and perpetual licence revenue growth of 76% when compared to 2019. Further, the company expanded transformation initiatives with existing and new industry leaders including Intermarché, Smart & Final, Dagrofa, Buy-Low, Rossman, Magnum Cash & Carry, Globus and SPAR Saudi Arabia, as well as CPG manufacturers like Mars, PepsiCo and ABInBev in 2020.

To support Symphony RetailAI’s growing customer base, Bob Kyle has been named senior vice president of sales, North America, and Ryan Chan has been named as senior vice president, global solutions & value consulting.

Jarek Majdanski joins the team in the UK as strategic accounts director (UK&I). Majdanski most recently served as vice president of sales, PRM, at Blue Yonder (previously known as JDA) where he spent 10 years. He brings vast experience managing the sales of enterprise software across the supply chain and meeting multimillion sales targets for his region. At Blue Yonder, he was responsible for generating overall regional revenues for the company of $13 million USD annually. Majdanski will lead the growing sales team in the UK and Ireland as the company looks to expand in this market.
