Tesco: recruiting Kids' Board

Tesco is setting up a Kids’ Board to help improve its Schools & Clubs programme in the UK.

The supermarket is searching for six children aged between 9 and 12 to join the Tesco Schools & Clubs Kids’ Board in 2011 and inviting them to enter an online competition.

Children chosen as a member of the Kids’ Board will be invited to attend a board meeting at Tesco’s head office on 14 July 2011 to tell Tesco, on behalf of schools and clubs nationwide, what they would like to see from the Schools & Clubs programme next year.

Kids’ board members will also help Tesco make decisions about the future of the programme, including:

  • help rate and review brand new products that have never been seen before
  • help choose equipment for the 2012 catalogue
  • meeting the people who develop some of the equipment in the catalogue
  • tell us what you would like to see from the Schools & Clubs programme

Board members will be given the opportunity to put forward a series of questions from their class mates for the Kids’ Board chairperson to answer and win 10,000 Tesco for Schools & Clubs vouchers for their school or club, as well as a laptop and digital camera.

Six runners up will also receive 1,000 Tesco for Schools & Clubs vouchers and a digital camera.

The competition closes on 20 May 2011. The shortlist will be notified by 31 May 2011 and winners will be notified by 10 June 2011.
