Tesco is listing the award-winning Brockmans Gin for the first time from September 2020 through over 460 of the Group’s stores across the UK. The bottles will feature a neck label, exclusive to Tesco, which suggests two simple serves for the gin.
Brockmans Gin is one of the fastest-growing super-premium gins in the UK as well as selling in over 50 countries. It has recently been awarded a Gold Medal in the Gin Masters Awards, the prestigious international contest run by The Spirits Business.
Whilst sales of standard gins have slowed, premium gin sales in the UK continue to flourish. Tesco will be able to take advantage of the continuing boom in super-premium gin sales as consumers demonstrate more knowledge of and interest in high quality gins. Creating cocktails at home has become even more popular as a result of lock-down.
To launch the listing, Brockmans is running a Facebook promotion for customers whereby those purchasing the bottle with its distinctive neck-label stand a chance of winning one of five bar wraps, each worth £109.95. The promotion will run from 10 September – 1 October 2020.
Ami Harmer, buying manager – Vodka, Gin and Rum at Tesco, said: “Brockmans Gin has a distinctively different taste profile. The unique blend of botanicals with its blueberry, blackberry and bitter-sweet orange notes make it an exciting addition to our super-premium gin range”.
Guy Lawrence, MD of Brockmans Gi, said: “We are proud to be stocked by Tesco enabling us to deliver our fine gin to even more retail customers. Brockmans is already stocked by several major multiples and it is good to be able to bring this ‘gin like no other’ to Tesco customers too.”
Brockmans Gin is a 40% ABV spirit made in England. It brims with berries and botanicals sourced from across the world: Juniper from Italy; lemon peel from Murcia in Spain; bitter-sweet orange peel from Valencia; Bulgarian coriander seed providing a slightly spicy sage note; Cassia bark from Indo-China; blueberries and blackberries from Northern Europe; liquorice from China, providing a sweet woody aroma; angelica from Belgium and Saxony; bitter almonds, from Spain; and Italian orris root, which helps to draw all these taste notes harmoniously together.
The RRP for Brockmans Gin is £34.
