The Artisan Drinks Co launches 200ml serve cans and wins Ocado listing

An entrepreneur, mixologist and an artist walk into a bar… and on that seminal day, The Artisan Drinks Co was born. With creativity at the heart of the brand and a now 10-strong range of mixers, since launching in 2018, they have gone from strength-to-strength; 2021 saw 147% growth, as well as winning an armful of accolades. Hitting 2022 at full speed, Artisan Drinks is cementing its position as the most innovative mixer brand in the category with the launch of the perfect serve 200ml cans in Ocado this February.

200ml is the recommended serving of a mixer to 50ml of spirit. With no other 200ml mixer cans currently available, by addressing the gap in the market the launch will create more choice for the end customer. What’s more, Artisan Drinks has a large stock of the new range ready to hit shelves, allowing retailers to immediately tap into the growing demand for quality craft mixers to accompany the spirits that consumers so carefully choose.

“Creating the perfect drink at home can be challenging. With mixers available in everything from 150ml cans to 1 litre bottles, it’s hard to know how much you should be using,” comments co-founder of Artisan Drinks and award-winning mixologist and bar owner, Mikey Enright. “Most 150ml cans on the market are a hangover from airline demand. By choosing to create the perfect serve measure over our own ease, our 200ml cans simplify the process for shoppers. We’ve fortunately avoided the current supply chain and production issues facing many of our industry colleagues, meaning we can supply retailers almost straight away, allowing them to quickly fulfil their customers’ needs.”

Available in five variants initially, the cans will be launched in Ocado beginning of February in 6 packs, RRP £4.50. They will also be available in 24 packs at independent retailers and Amazon. The five flavours will include:

●      Classic London Tonic

●      Skinny London Tonic

●      Pink Citrus Tonic

●      Amalfi Lime Tonic

●      Fiery Ginger Beer

Each can will feature Artisan Drinks’ iconic and elegant art-deco inspired artwork which the brand is famous for. Created by Co-Founder and renowned international artist, Alan Walsh, the unique artwork results in genuine shelf appeal. For retailers, cans over bottles are an easier product to handle – easy stack-ability, both on shelf and in storage, with less risk of breaking and damage than traditional glass bottles.

With consumers actively seeking more environmentally friendly products, Artisan Drinks is a member of Planet Mark, which works passionately with organisations to empower their people to halt the climate crisis, improve society in everything they do, and build a sustainable brighter future. Planet Mark has recently accredited Artisan through the issue of an internationally recognised sustainability certification. The launch of the 200ml cans is part of Artisan Drinks’ strategic roadmap working towards CO2 neutrality, with an ongoing commitment to measure, monitor and reduce their carbon footprint

Alongside the launch of the cans, this January saw the introduction of a new flavour to the Artisan Drinks portfolio, Yuzu Tokyo Tonic. The new 200ml bottles will launch in Champers, PDN Wines, Thai Leisure Group, Amazon and The Craft Gin Club. Drawing inspiration from one of the world’s most vibrant and creative cities, the resulting fusion is an effervescent yuzu with aromatic black pepper and warming notes of coriander. The artwork, Under The Moonlight In Tokyo, showcases a Japanese Josei fanning herself under the moonlight in Tokyo, whilst taking in the electric skyline from her luxury high-rise hotel balcony.
