The Co-operative Food is launching a range of value breakfast cereals this summer.

From 29 July 2013, the retailer will be increasing its breakfast offering with a selection of new mueslis, cereals and porridges, giving customers more choice in the morning.

The Co-operative Truly Irresistible Fairtrade Muesli (600g, £2.99) is an addition to the own-brand premium range. High in fibre and made with a blend of oats and barley; honey; Fairtrade raisins, cranberries, Brazil nuts, almonds and dried banana; plus a hint of cinnamon. It makes a great breakfast for those looking for a healthy alternative, without compromising on flavour, the Co-operative claims.

Alternatively, customers can try The Co-operative Truly Irresistible Cranberry and Raisin Granola(500g, £2.79) with golden clusters, raisins, cranberries, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds.

The Co-operative is also adding some great-value family favourite cereals into its range, providing customers with an alternative to pricier branded lines. The Co-operative Apricot Wheats/Blueberry Wheats (500g, £2.29) has no added salt, and will help to liven up breakfast bowls with its whole wheat square parcels filled with fruity flavours, the retailer said.

The Co-operative Porridge Sachets (Plain and Golden Syrup varieties ) (270- 312g, £1.69) take just two minutes to cook in the microwave, and make the perfect filling breakfast for those on the go. They slowly release energy throughout the morning – and are a great source of fibre, too.

For a sweet treat, the new The Co-operative Chocolate Blocks (375g, £2.09) have dark chocolate shells and a cocoa and hazelnut filling.

Also new to the own-brand cereal range, is The Co-operative Triple Chocolate Crisp(500g, £2.09) – oat clusters with milk chocolate chips and dark and white chocolate curls.
