The Isle of Raasay Distillery, famously known for its unique and beautiful island location and tight-knit community off Scotland’s west coast, is launching a festive Sherry-Finished Whisky. The new tipple, which will be available to purchase on the Raasay Distillery website from 8th November, is the ideal gift for any whisky fan or for a winter-warming treat best served beside a fire with great company.

The Hebridean Isle of Raasay, which has a population of 161 people, is an island rooted in centuries of illicit distilling, providing the ingredients for this sherry-finished dram. The distillery’s ethos is to produce, mature and bottle every drop of spirit directly from the island, whichseeks to maximise the influence of the island on the spirit, and the distillery on the island.

A departure from the distillery’s core style, the Sherry-Finished Whisky is matured in ex-rye whiskey casks and finished in a combination of ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry quarter casks; both high quality sherry variants bursting with flavour.

Packed full of Christmas spirit, the holiday special release boasts hints of peppery spice, roasted nuts, sweet dark fruits, and floral notes along with nutmeg and cinnamon, making a truly delectable festive accompaniment.

Available to purchase on RaasayDistillery.com from 8th November, RRP £85.00.

The Isle of Raasay Distillery doesn’t stop at whisky. The Perfect Serve Gift Pack is a delightful gift for gin-lovers this Christmas.
