The Loyalty People has today announced the appointment of two of UK retail’s most experienced leaders, as it builds its senior team for an ambitious growth plan over the coming months.
Louise Hutchins joins as managing director and is one of the industry’s most respected operators. She was previously head of loyalty propositions at Marks & Spencer, before moving into consultancy work specialising in customer and data led business strategy.
Tom Peace becomes The Loyalty People’s new chief revenue officer. A highly-acclaimed loyalty expert and commercial leader, Peace has over 15 years’ experience across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, retail, food and beverage, travel and FMCG. He brings to the business specialist knowledge of new loyalty trends, such as card-linking, real-time data analytics and experiential loyalty.
Commenting on today’s news, The Loyalty People founder and CEO, Pete Howroyd, said: ‘Our business aims to provide clients with the highest level of expertise and experience in all aspects of loyalty, which is why there are no two better people to join our team than Louise Hutchins and Tom Peace. They have both worked for many years at the very top of the loyalty field, and they bring invaluable insight and skill to our business: from the grass roots of client operations to the latest developments in global loyalty strategy.
Also announced today is the launch of ‘The Loyalty People Plus’: a fast, cost-effective loyalty recruitment service, designed in particular to support businesses facing the challenges of Covid and economic uncertainty. The new service will match in-house loyalty vacancies in any sector with the most skilled and suitable candidates from a database of loyalty specialists – providing additional support to expertly manage many aspects of the recruitment process, from pre-screening interviews to contracts and on boarding.
Howroyd added: ‘The Loyalty People is a global community, and part of our role is to nurture new talent and support businesses who need help with any aspect of the loyalty function. Having experienced the frustrations of the recruitment process and the restrictions of working with generic agencies in my previous roles, we set up The Loyalty People Plus to overcome this and save companies time and money. From our database of associates, we can quickly find the best, hand-picked people for in-house loyalty roles. We hope it will provide a useful resource, particularly for the retail and hospitality industries, which are facing so many difficulties in the months ahead.’
The Loyalty People was founded in 2018 by former Harvey Nichols’ head of digital, CRM and international marketing Pete Howroyd, as a dynamic new global community for the loyalty industry. Counting brands such as Benefit and Molton Brown as clients, The Loyalty People helps brands and businesses build their own bespoke loyalty and CRM teams for in-house roles or projects, through a global network of loyalty specialists.
