Discount department store, TJ Hughes, has appointed Beatrice Lafon as chief executive; replacing Sue Tennant, who will be leaving at the end of the year.
Lafon was recently chief executive of Etam Group in the Netherlands and was previously commercial director of Woolworths.

“We would like to express our appreciation to Sue Tennant who has revived the business over the past three years. She was brought in to the company in August 2007 to turn the business around, which she has successfully completed.”
