Jet2holidays has launched a transactional smartphone app, which it claims will transform how its customers discover holidays on mobile devices.
The app, developed by Leeds-based advertising agency, Gratterpalm, is now available for both iOS and Android.
With access to the internet from mobile devices set to surpass that of desktop in 2014, Jet2holidays briefed Gratterpalm to develop an app to service this new behaviour and browsing demand and encourage further sales.
A Jet2holidays spokesperson said: “The growing smartphone market presents a huge opportunity for us to literally be in the pocket of the consumer at all times, giving our customers even greater freedom and flexibility when it comes to browsing and booking holidays. Gratterpalm really impressed us with its understanding of the mobile journey and holiday browsing experience and we’re confident this app will be a great success.”

Gratterpalm launched its mobile division in January 2013 and has since created mobile experiences for Greggs, Asda and Camira Fabrics.
