Travis Perkins to implement omni-channel strategy in Wickes stores with OneView Commerce

OneView Commerce, a retail industry leader of digital transformation in the store, today announced that one of the UK’s largest retailers, Travis Perkins, has engaged with OneView to transform customer interaction across all 19 brands of the Travis Perkins Group. The first brand undergoing transformation is Wickes, where a full in-store POS and cross-channel implementation is underway. The OneView platform will be extended across all 256 stores during the first half of 2016.

“We chose OneView Commerce based on their ability to deliver on our cross-channel strategy with a single in-store solution that provides one comprehensive view of the customer journey, including online activity and purchasing history,” said Travis Perkins CIO, Norman Bell. “The connected view of the customer journey gives our customers a better experience and at the same time simplifies our store operations. The OneView Digital Store Platform is well-aligned with our architectural vision, and itsintegration with hybris eCommerce leverages our existing investment in the hybris platform.”

Travis Perkins began developing a new multi-channel IT platform last year to replace its legacy systems, and plans to standardize all of its businesses on the new platform over the next couple of years. In addition to improving the customer experience online and in branches, this new platform will be easier to use for employees, gather better quality data, and improve processes. OneView now becomes another key spoke within this new architecture by extending the overall vision into the store.

“Travis Perkins executives have demonstrated significant commitment and vision to their long term omnichannel strategy and we are equally committed to our role in this partnership,” said Linda Palanza, COO at OneView Commerce. “Digital transformation, as embraced by forward-thinking companies like Travis Perkins, provides the first step in implementing a full omnichannel solution across in-store, online, and voice. We value our part in this strategic initiative and look forward to supporting Travis Perkins as they transform their business into one that better serves their customers.”
