International manufacturer and supplier of duvets, pillows and mattress toppers, Trendsetter Home Furnishings, is proud to announce that its head office in Trafford Park, Manchester, has been awarded the globally-recognised standard for environmental management – ISO 14001.
This follows the achievement of ISO 14001 certification attained earlier in the year for its manufacturing facility in Estonia, Baltic Fibres OU.
ISO 14001 is designed to help organisations to be more environmentally friendly, showing businesses how to measure their consumption and reduce waste.
Derek Read, supply chain director, who led the 14001 project for the office in Trafford Park, said: “The decision to attain this standard in both facilities represents the start of a much longer-term, forward-thinking project to grow Trendsetter within a sustainable long-term strategic framework.
“We believe that transparency of our management systems is not only correct from a business point of view, but also creates awareness of environmental issues, setting standards for the business, our employees, and also the industry.
“A highly efficient business is a better business with a very long-term future, so we welcome the targets and measurements ISO 14001 imposes on us, as an essential part of our best practice policy.”
